Optional Early Morning Activity (before breakfast)
If you rise before dawn (around 5:30 am), you can witness and participate in the sacred ritual of offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks—an awe-inspiring tradition that has been preserved for generations in Laos. You may also choose to stroll through the vibrant morning market, where locals gather to sell fresh produce and daily goods, offering a glimpse into the town’s early morning life.

After breakfast
Begin your exploration with a visit to the Royal Palace, now serving as the National Museum. The museum houses a remarkable collection of artifacts that once belonged to the former Lao Royal family. (Note: Open from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm daily, closed on Tuesdays).

Continue on to discover the city’s most important temples:

• Wat Visoun – a 16th-century temple that today functions as a small museum of religious artifacts.
• Wat Aham – an early 19th-century temple with distinctive charm.
• Wat Xiengthong – one of the most beautiful temples in Laos, epitomizing the grace and elegance of Luang Prabang architecture.

Later, take the opportunity to interact with monks at Wat Mai Temple, before ascending Phousi Hill. Climb 328 steps to reach the summit and enjoy a breathtaking view of Luang Prabang at sunset.

The evening is free at leisure.

After breakfast
Embark on a scenic two-hour cruise along the Mekong River in a traditional long-tail boat. Along the way, catch glimpses of rural Laos—tiny villages hidden behind lush greenery, wooden canoes tied to bamboo poles, and floats marking the location of nets and fish traps.

Arrive at the Pak Ou Caves, a revered sanctuary consisting of two impressive grottoes that house thousands of Buddha images in varying sizes—from just a few centimeters to over two meters in height. After exploring the caves, return to Luang Prabang by car.

In the afternoon
Drive south to visit one of Luang Prabang’s most enchanting natural wonders, the Kuang Si Waterfall. Take a leisurely hike through the national park and enjoy the serene scenery before arriving at the cascading turquoise pools. Adventurous travelers may continue the walk to the top of the main falls, where you can choose to swim in the refreshing waters.

Return to your hotel by private vehicle. In the evening, enjoy free time to explore the colorful Night Bazaar, a perfect spot for discovering local crafts and souvenirs.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – Vientiane (By Bus – 8 Hours)

After breakfast
Transfer to the bus station for your journey to Vientiane. The bus ride takes approximately 8 hours and passes through scenic landscapes, rural villages, and lush countryside, offering a glimpse of daily life in Laos.

Upon arrival at the bus station, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Check in and take the rest of the day to relax at your leisure.

After breakfast
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Vientiane’s major historic sites. Visit Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple that survived the Siamese war of 1828, renowned for its cloister containing more than 8,000 Buddha statues. Continue to Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home-temple of the Emerald Buddha, which today houses a fine collection of Buddha statues, antiques, and artifacts found in and around Vientiane.

Next, explore That Luang Stupa, the most important monument in Laos, believed to enshrine a relic of the Buddha’s chest bone. Stop at Patouxay, Laos’ version of the Arc de Triomphe, built in memory of those who perished in past wars and now considered the city’s landmark.

In the afternoon, take a one-hour drive southeast of the city to visit the unique Buddha Park—a fascinating sculpture garden filled with Buddhist and Hindu statues dating back more than 500 years. Of particular interest is the giant concrete pumpkin, whose interior features three levels representing hell, earth, and heaven.

Return to the city and enjoy free time at your leisure.

After breakfast, your driver will meet you for a comfortable transfer to Wattay International airport
